Question: What about nectarines? I really enjoy them, but I don’t hear much about them here.

Answer: Nectarines are treated exactly as you would peaches. Their problem is that they lack the protective fuzz that peaches carry. As a result, they’re much more likely to develop disease and insect problems. They’re more commonly grown in the more arid areas, where these pests are less likely to invade.
