Question: My African violets aren’t blooming as well as they used to. What can I do to help them flower better?

Answer: Usually, that’s either tied to light, or the plants are congested. African violets need to grow on a bright east windowsill, or you need to have them very close to fluorescent light fixtures that are left on for 16 hours daily. If the plants are clumped and very full in their pots, that overcrowding can also keep them from producing good flowers.
