Question: What can I do with a corn plant that has browned leaf tips and edges?

Answer: First, determine what caused the problem. It almost has to be one or more of the following: too dry at some point, excessive mineral or fertilizer salts in the soil, or too hot (under a heat register or in a bright west window, for examples). Correct the original problem, then trim the leaves with a pair of really sharp scissors. You can actually restore the pointed tips to the leaves and you’ll conceal the fact that the plant was in distress quite well.
