Question: Does abelia develop an iron deficiency problem?

Answer: Yes, and that’s about the only problem this long-proven plant will have. It can be identified by the yellow leaves with dark green veins, most prominently displayed on the newest growth first. Use an iron/sulfur-soil-acidifier product. (Be sure, however, that you’re not looking at a variety variety.)

Q: My dwarf abelia seems to be lopsided. Is that normal? What can I do?
