Question: I have stripes in my lawn after I fertilize it. How can I prevent that?

Answer: Use a rotary spreader instead of your drop type. Rotary spreaders throw the fertilizer pellets out at right angles to your path, so they cover a much wider area. If you really want to get uniform coverage, you could apply half of the fertilizer going east-to-west, the other half going north-to-south.
