Question: My bed of mixed colors of iris is now all white–the old-fashioned variety of “flag.” Did they mutate back to the white?

Answer: No. It’s simply a stronger grower and has crowded out your other plants over a period of time. Dig and discard all of the white-flowering plants while they’re blooming. See what you have left, then work to save them.
