Question: We have large holes in our landscape, each surrounded by very coarse soil that has been kicked out. Someone told us we have crawdads. How do we control them?

Answer: Crawdads (crayfish) are indicative of really wet soil. While there is no product you can use to eliminate them, drying the soil out with tile drains or by cutting in some way to let the water run off will usually get rid of them.
