Question: What planting tips do you have for anemones?

Answer: Wait until late winter to plant them, generally in late January or very early February. Soak the tubers overnight before planting, then set them only 2 inches deep into well-prepared garden soil. Plant them comparatively close together (2 to 4 inches), and plan on them as annuals only, even though botanically they are perennials. They also can be grown in large decorative pots.
