Question: When should I dig and divide my chrysanthemums?

Answer: You can either do it in late fall, after all the flowers have faded, or you can wait and do it in very late winter, before the new growth begins. The late winter time is probably better, but there is the risk that you’ll wait too long and the new shoots will suddenly be 6 or 8 inches tall. By then it will be too late.
