Question: When should I plant broccoli?

Answer: The spring planting is made 4 to 6 weeks before the average date of the last killing freeze. This early planting is critical to the quality of the heads that will develop. Producing broccoli does not tolerate high temperatures at all well. Fall plantings should be made 3 months prior to the average date of the first killing freeze.
