Question: When should I water my lawn, in the evening or in the morning?

Answer: If the grass is really dry, water then. Month in and month out, it’s usually best to water early in the morning (3 a.m.to 10 a.m.). The grass won’t stay wet for prolonged periods of time that way, plus water pressure will be at its highest. You’ll have less wind to blow the water droplets, so coverage will be more uniform. Evening watering can lead to disease problems, especially with St. Augustine, primarily in autumn.
