Question: When and how do I plant seeds from my favorite fruits and pecans?

Answer: That's a bad plan. Modern fruit varieties are all hybrids. That means that they will not reproduce true-to-variety from seeds. They have been grafted onto other rootstocks. If you like a particular variety, buy plants of that exact variety. Nurseries have outstanding supplies of dormant plants in the winter and of container-grown stock in late winter, spring and early summer.
