Question: Why do so many of the leaves of my weeping fig yellow and drop?

Answer: Probably lack of light. Ficuses are very large plants in their native homes. As such, they're the dominant trees of the rain forest. When we bring them indoors the leaf drop will often begin 2 to 3 weeks later. Move your plant to the brightest window in your house. This is not a nutritional shortage. Do not apply fertilizer until the plant's leaf drop stops.
