Meet Colonel, a handsome 2-year-old, 50-pound black and brindle Rottweiler mix. He was transferred to the SPCA of Texas from another shelter on Dec. 9, in hopes of finding his perfect forever home. One of the first things you’ll notice about him is his great love of playing ball! He almost always has a ball in his mouth and would love to find someone who will enjoy throwing it for him. He also really enjoys being petted. Because he is young, he has a lot of energy and would like a family that loves to exercise and play. The staff and volunteers say he is very friendly. He can be a bit particular about who his four-legged friends are, so if you have any other dogs in your home, bring them by for a meet and greet. He has been neutered, microchipped and given all age-appropriate vaccinations. Don’t wait! March double-time down to the shelter for some mandatory ball-playing fun. He’ll be on standby waiting for you. #137293

Tazi

Tazi

Meet Tazi, a 10-pound, 2-year-old Domestic Shorthair cat. Tazi came to the SPCA of Texas on Jan. 6 because her owner developed allergies to her. She is a beautiful cat who is full of love. Tazi enjoys having company around all of the time! She’ll walk right up to you for some cuddles and a head scratch. She has been spayed, microchipped and given all age-appropriate vaccinations. Meet Tazi today! #137827

Sunshine

Sunshine

Meet Sunshine, a delightful 4-year-old, 54-pound Pit Bull mix with a soft, jet-black coat and a kiss ready just for you! Sunshine is super-sweet and loves to snuggle! In fact, there is nothing more she loves to do than wiggle next to you and prepare for her well-deserved belly rub! She also enjoys taking lots of daily walks and hitting the dog park! She just loves to get off leash and run through the fields! Feel free to toss her a ball or Frisbee; she’s more than happy to go after it, but you just might need to catch her if you want to play again! At the end of the day, Sunshine will once again snuggle with you on the couch or in bed while nibbling on a delicious snack. The SPCA of Texas rescued Sunshine from inhumane conditions on Nov. 25. She has already been spayed, microchipped, and given all of her age-appropriate vaccinations, making Sunshine ready for the perfect family! With you by her side, Sunshine knows that her days will be filled with nothing but love, laughter and plenty of kisses. #137038

Morris

Morris

Meet Morris, a handsome 11-year-old, 13-pound Domestic Shorthair kitty with an adorable orange tabby coat. Morris came to the SPCA of Texas on Jan. 10, when he was transferred in from another shelter. At 11 years young, Morris likes to consider himself as traveled and educated…. You know, all the important things that come with maturity. Morris is a mellow guy who wants a place to retire. If you’ve got a soft bed in a room with a view, it sounds like you two would be a great match. Morris loves being petted, but he’s a bit shy at first. And just look at those orange beauty marks on his white and tabby face! Morris is a handsome guy who already knows his manners and his way around the house. He’s even been neutered, microchipped and given all age-appropriate vaccinations. It sounds like this guy’s adoption is a win-win for everyone. What do you think? Are you ready to take Morris home? #137372
