Meet Aurora, a friendly, 43-pound black and tan Terrier mix. She is only 1 year old, so like most puppies, she is very energetic and loves human contact! Aurora loves walks … she gets tons at the shelter! She is great on a leash, and we can imagine her going on jogs around the neighborhood with you. She is especially fond of treats. According to her previous owner, she is fine with children and other dogs. She is house trained unless left alone for long periods of time. She was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on March 4, because the family’s child was allergic to her. Aurora has been spayed, is microchipped, and has received her age-appropriate vaccinations. Come see her today! #123406

Minnie

Minnie

Meet, Minnie! She is slightly older than 3 years, and she weighs around 7 pounds. You can probably see by her beautiful long fur that she is a Domestic Longhair mix. She is declawed, so please keep her indoors, where she can lounge around and play with you. She craves affection! If you start petting her and stop, she will meow at you to continue until she’s had enough! She actually likes to be picked up, and will set up a very strong purr while you hold her. She’s got lovely markings, including a dark black stripe all the way down her back, plus snow-white paws. Won’t you consider her as your purrrrfect pet?

Aurora and Minnie are waiting for you at the SPCA of Texas Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center in Dallas at 2400 Lone Star Drive near I-30 and Hampton Rd. Hours are noon to 6 p.m. seven days a week. Regular adoption fees are $95-125 for puppies 0-6 months, $75-95 for adult dogs 6 months or older, $50 for senior dogs 7 years or older, $50 for VIP dogs. Fee includes spay/neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccinations, a heartworm test for dogs 6 months and older, initial heartworm preventative for dogs, a microchip, a rabies tag and a free leash. McKinney Pets

Patches

Patches

Meet Patches, a 3-year-old, sweet and gentle Siberian Husky mix! Even when he gives hugs, he’s gentle! He weighs 55 pounds and was transferred to the SPCA of Texas on May 27 in hopes of finding a good home. If you are looking for a sweet, furry baby with a freckled face, he’s your man. He’s a fast learner and can’t wait to be your perfect pet! He has been neutered, is microchipped, and has received all age-appropriate vaccinations! Come meet him; he’s ready to love all over you! #132091

Mimosa

Mimosa

Meet Mimosa, a super-friendly 8-year-old, 11-pound Domestic Shorthair Mix. She’s a red tabby with white at the end of her tail and distinctive red stripes. Her light green eyes are so pretty. Wherever she goes, she makes friends quickly. Mimosa was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on May 13 because her family had allergies. She has been spayed, tested for FIV/FeLV (she’s negative), is microchipped and has received age-appropriate vaccinations. She would do best in a home without children under 6 years. She’s friendly and will come over and meet everyone when they visit her! Yes, she gets along well with the other cats in her condo. She came here with her brother, Naphtali, and they both like the other cats. Sometimes she enjoys trying to bat at a feathery wand! She’s a wonderful cat and hopes to get out of the shelter and into your home! Meet her at the SPCA of Texas today! #131615
