Meet Rose, sweet like the flower, and beautiful, too! She is a 3-year-old, 42-pound Labrador mix who came to the SPCA of Texas on July 23, when she was rescued from inhumane conditions. She was in pretty bad shape when she got here…. She was on the skinny side and still learning what love is. Now, though, you’d never guess she had such a “ruff” past! She still needs to gain some weight, but she is happy and healthy and just waiting for you! She is super sweet. She loves to give kisses and snuggle up close to you. She is rather gentle, also. She is really just looking for her best friend! She can’t wait to know what a home full of love is like, and we hope that home is with you! She has been spayed, microchipped and given all age-appropriate vaccinations. Come meet Rose today! #134188

Jill

Jill

Meet Jill, a 6-year-old, 13-pound Domestic Shorthair mix cat with a lovely calico coat. She’s a little hefty for her age, so she is currently on a diet. She came to the SPCA of Texas on Aug. 3 because she was having litterbox problems. Many changes occurred in her previous home, including the addition of a new pet, which could have caused her to have some accidents. She’s not one who likes a lot of change, so she’s looking for a comfortable place to call home. She also had a mild URI when she got to the shelter, which could have caused her to have some accidents! All of these problems have been taken care of while at the shelter, so she’s sure she’ll be just fine at your house! She is a little shy at first, but you can tell how badly she wants affection. She’s so sweet and loving. She is pretty lazy … is content just lying on the couch with you. She lived in a house with dogs, but other pets can make her nervous. Please speak with an adoption counselor about this if you have other pets! Jill has been spayed, microchipped and has received all age-appropriate vaccinations. Come meet her today! #11375

Valkyrie

Valkyrie

Meet Valkyrie, a playful and spunky 3-year-old, 47-pound Shepherd mix! She has the softest coat and the most beautiful colors, but you’ll have a hard time seeing them, because she’ll be bouncing up and down to kiss you in the face! She came to the SPCA of Texas on July 23, when she was seized with 221 other pets from cruelty. You’d never know it, though, because she is happy and healthy and friendlier than any pooch you’ll ever meet! Valkyrie is really playful…. She hopes you like to run and play chase, because she sure does! She’ll try to hold your hand with her mouth. (You may want to keep this in mind if you have kiddos — it’s her way of saying “I love you!”). She likes to bounce around in the yard! Do you like to play? She does! Valkyrie is a snuggle-bug deep down. She likes to give hugs. In fact, she’ll reach right around you and make you hug her! She has been spayed, microchipped and given all age-appropriate vaccinations. Come meet Valkyrie today! #134325

Lydia

Lydia

Meet Lydia, a 1-year-old, 6-pound Domestic Shorthair mix! Lydia came to the SPCA of Texas on July 23, when she was rescued from cruelty with 221 other pets. She and Valkyrie are actually from the same rescue. Lydia has had a rough past for such a young gal, but she’s not looking back! She enjoys her time now lounging around her cat condo and snuggling with her feline friends. If her beautiful coat doesn’t draw you in, her sweet crossed eyes will! She knows they may look a little silly, but that doesn’t stop her from purring while you lovingly pet her. Lydia is calm and sweet, and she’s looking for a place to peacefully spend the rest of her life. She can’t wait to go somewhere and know what love is like! She has been spayed, microchipped and given all age-appropriate vaccinations. Come meet Lydia today! # 134192
