Meet Sweet Pea, a 48-pound, 11-month-old Labrador mix with a brindle coat of chocolaty swirls! Sweet Pea came to the SPCA of Texas on Feb. 12 because she was a bit too talkative for an apartment. You know — when you think about your favorite song, and you just have to sing it out, or when you have the best idea ever and you have to tell someone immediately? Well, that’s Sweet Pea! Sweet Pea is a very good girl who loves to play all types of games. Some of her favorites are fetch, chase and tug-o-war. Sweet Pea lived with kids in her last home, and they made the best playmates! She was also fine with other dogs and cats, although she preferred to ignore the cats. Sweet Pea is an ideal family dog. Just like her name says, she’s sweet, loyal and tons of fun! She’s already been spayed, is microchipped, and has received all age-appropriate vaccinations. Come meet Sweet Pea today. #133331

Queenie

Queenie

Meet Queenie, a beautiful 11-year-old, 14-pound Domestic Shorthair with a gorgeous black-and-white coat and adorable yellow eyes. She’s a playful girl who also loves to sunbathe next to a window on a warm summer day. Queenie has been waiting for her forever home at the SPCA of Texas since Jan. 19, because she was having trouble using her litterbox. She has had no potty problems while at the shelter, but our adoption counselors can give you great advice on how to help her! Queenie is a darling girl who loves to sing to you as you pet her head. She has been spayed, is microchipped, and has received all age-appropriate vaccinations. Come meet Queenie today and see why she deserves to be treated like royalty!

Dallas Pets

Ritter

Ritter

Meet Ritter, an 8-month old, 33-pound Pit Bull mix. She came to the SPCA of Texas on Dec. 23 because her family wasn’t home enough to care for an active young pup. As you can see, besides her beautiful black coat, one of her best features is her fantastic ears! She has a very friendly disposition, which you can tell by her wiggly behind. Her previous owner said that she is playful with children, adults and other dogs, so she’ll be delighted to find a family that loves to play as much as she does. You can go for walks, run around the yard, you name it and she’s up for it! She also loves treats, so she can learn some tricks from you. She has been spayed, is microchipped and has received all age-appropriate vaccinations. This gal was recently transferred to our Dallas location, so come to the shelter to see her today. She knows you’ll be best friends! #137602

Mistie

Mistie

Meet Mistie! She is a 4-years-young Domestic Medium Hair little lady who is in the market for her new home. She is a pretty independent kitty and enjoys her alone time. She will play with toys now and then if they make pretty sounds or have feathers. For the most part, she likes to lounge around and watch the day go by. She came to the SPCA of Texas on Feb. 5, when her owners could no longer give her the care that she needed. Because of her past, she can be very shy at first, but we promise, if you approach her slowly, she can become the sweetest girl and can’t get enough of your attention. She has been spayed, tested for FeLV/FIV (she’s negative), is microchipped and has received all age-appropriate vaccinations. If you’re a patient human who has a lot of love to give, then she is your gal! #138572
