Ambitious Weed!

I thought you might enjoy this photo I took this morning (Thursday).

As my wife and I left McKinney’s Stonebridge Ranch Swim Park where our granddaughters had graduated from their summer class, I spotted this fearless stand of Johnsongrass growing out of a school crosswalk sign at the intersection of Stonebridge Drive and Coronado Boulevard.  Maybe this explains why it’s so hard to get it out of our flowerbeds and gardens!  It obviously can grow anywhere!
