I have a tree that has been leaning at an angle for several years. Can I use a cable to pull it back to vertical? How long will I need to leave it staked before I can remove the cable?
My bald cypress is turning tan from the base of the tree upward. What should I look for?
How can I get rid of the sprouts that come up around my yaupon holly tree? They’re a foot or two away from the trunk. Are they seedlings?
I am from the North originally, and the “pin” oaks we had there aren’t the same as the ones I see here in Texas. What is the difference between these two plants with the same name?
I have moss growing on the trunk of my pecan tree. Is it damaging?
What would cause my redbud to die over a period of months? It’s just gotten weaker and weaker. I see small holes in the trunk.
Should I try to remove the burlap when I plant my new tree?
We have just discovered that our shade tree has a wire wrapped around its trunk near the ground, probably from an old nursery tag. Now the base of the tree is swollen above the wire, and we can’t get the wire out. The tree seems weaker than before. What can we do to help?
