Question: I bought some ivy geraniums to use in a hanging basket. They aren’t flowering very well. Are they also sensitive to the summer temperatures?

Answer: Even more than the more common bushy type of standard geranium. Martha Washington geraniums are even more vulnerable to the heat. That doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t use these wonderful plants. It just means that we need to use them in the cooler months, and then be prepared to replace them later when summer arrives.
