Question: Can I add a few more heads to one station of my sprinkler system?

Answer: You can always add heads. The bigger question is whether there will be enough pressure to drive them all. Talk with an expert at your local hardware store or pipe supplier. You’ll need to know things like your average water pressure, the sizes of valves and supply lines that feed that station, the numbers of heads on the station and the water flow that each of those heads can deliver. Once all those variables are mixed into the equation, you can start to determine if there will be sufficient pressure. All of which explains why it’s good business to hire a licensed irrigation contractor for anything other than simple tasks.
