Question: I don’t like to replant my flowers every year. Aren’t annuals a lot more trouble than perennial flowers?
Answer: Not if you consider the great display they’ll make and the length of time they flower. That’s why all the amusement park and other major commercial landscapes that feature lavish color always use annuals. Granted, you have to replant two or three times each year, but the rewards are worth the extra effort. You have to dig and divide perennials periodically, too. There’s nothing wrong with perennials, of course, but you have to know, going in, that the planning is more difficult for an ongoing good look with perennials.
