Question: How long does it take a plant to sunburn if it’s been in the house for a few months, then is moved out onto the patio for spring and summer (or simply to be repotted)?

Answer: Bright sunlight can ruin a plant’s leaves within 10 or 20 minutes in the heat of the summer. You really need to do all your outdoor spraying, repotting and other maintenance work in the shade, away from the sunlight. Make any changes of lighting gradually.
