Question: How would you compare perennial verbenas to their annual counterparts?

Answer: Two green thumbs up! They bloom better over a longer period of time and in a wider range of colors. The plants are more compact, almost making a groundcover planting. They come in shades of red, pink, white and purple. Watch out for spider mites, and trim the planting to keep it attractive. Otherwise, they’re great plants for Texas.
