Question: I like the foliage color of crotons. How much sunlight can they tolerate?

Answer: They’ll color up best if they have sun until late-morning in summer, then light shade the balance of the day. If they get too little light, their leaves will either drop, or the new growth will lack the dramatic variegation. That’s why we see so many green croton leaves indoors over the winter.
