Question: Do the mixtures of wildflower seeds work very well, or will one type eventually overtake all the others?
Answer: If you buy a mix that has been blended for, or collected in, your area, it should establish well. Some of the species may do better than others, but that’s the way it is in nature, too. Avoid mixes from out-of-state sources that are selling species you don’t know and that won’t grow in your area. There are in-state specialty houses that feature Texas’ best-adapted wildflower seeds.
