Question: My bell peppers, also some of sweet banana peppers, have scorched looking blotches on the sides of the fruit. What causes that?

Answer: That’s sunscald. Those parts of those fruits were exposed to hot sun as they started to ripen. You may need to harvest a day or two earlier.
