Question: My iris don’t bloom very well anymore. Do they need a special fertilizer, or could there be something else wrong?

Answer: Usually iris that don’t flower are either in too much shade, or they have become crowded and need to be divided. Rarely is a special fertilizer needed, although a general-purpose feeding in fall and again in very early spring would be good.
