Question: My peaches have worms in their fruit. What can I do to prevent that next year?
Answer: That’s the plum curculio. Apply a labeled insecticide at several key times during the early and mid-spring. The schedule will call for spraying when the buds are fully formed and showing color, but before they start to open, again when 75 percent of the petals have fallen (this spray should be in late evening, to lessen chance of damage to bees), and on 10-day intervals until harvest.
