Question: My new bermuda is reddish. I sowed the seed one month ago. It came up within 10 days, but it’s not growing well at all.

Answer: That sounds like a deficiency of phosphorus. Its shortage causes purple, stunted growth. You could add a liquid root-stimulator fertilizer one time to turn it around, but you’re probably also keeping the ground too wet. It usually helps simply to cut back somewhat on the watering, to give the grass roots a chance to develop.
