Question: We have rabbits eating our flowers. What will run them off without hurting them?
Answer: Rabbits in urban areas are difficult. The animal repellents can help, but you probably also will need other ideas. Most of their damage will be done during the winter, so try planting winter rye somewhere in your landscape. They actually will prefer it to the pansies and other cool-season flowers. The low-voltage fences will help, and there are humane traps that might be useful. Growing your annuals in large decorative pots will elevate them out of the rabbits’ reach.
