Question: What kind of covering is best for my greenhouse?
Answer: To a degree, that’s an economic question. Glass is the most attractive, and it’s certainly more permanent than most other choices. However, you need a really good support for a glass greenhouse, and that’s what runs the cost up. There are glass substitutes that cost less and are reasonably attractive, but you’ll probably need to replace them every few years. Clear polyethylene plastic is the least expensive, and it’s quite functional. Its only problem is that it isn’t exactly handsome. If you’re using your greenhouse strictly for growing and not as a feature of your landscape, this is your choice.
