Question: What kind of support do I need for my grapes?

Answer: You can grow grapes on almost any kind of substantial fence or trellis (6-inch posts are excellent), however, simple wires are probably easiest. You will do major pruning to grapes each winter, and it’s easiest to remove the canes if you have a single wire or rail. Be sure it is well anchored and rust- or decay-resistant.
