Question: What are the pouch-like things that are growing up in my caladiums and elephant ears? Are they some type of flower? What should I do with them?

Answer: Those are their flowers. They’re a jack-in-the-pulpit type of flowering plant, similar to peace lilies, dieffenbachias, philodendrons, Chinese evergreens and others. You need to pinch them off. Don’t let them develop, or they will stop future production of leaves. They aren’t attractive anyway.
