Question: What can I do to stop the sticky drip from my pecan tree late each summer? It coats our patio furniture and car.

Answer: That’s honeydew from pecan aphids. You can use a general-purpose insecticide labeled for aphids, but you’re going to need power equipment to be able to reach to the top of the tree. Really, it might make better sense just to park somewhere else for a few weeks and to move the patio furniture.
