I notice at the ballparks that the grass seems to have a grain? How does that happen?
My St. Augustine is turning yellow, then tan along my sidewalk and out in the middle of our front yard. What causes that?
Grub worms have ruined my lawn. Should I leave the old dead grass in place, or should I rake it up?
My bermuda looks sick in odd patches. The runners, such as they are, don’t appear vigorous, and the grass is dying. What are the possibilities?
I have swarms of tiny gnats that fly up while I’m walking across my lawn. Do they do any harm? Should I worry about spraying them?
My St. Augustine seems to be hungry. It appears yellowed from a distance, yet fertilizer seems to make it worse. Iron hasn’t helped. It seems to be dying.
My St. Augustine has yellow spots that are almost circular. It’s happened in the same areas in previous autumns. The grass does seem to come back, but I lost one of the spots in a cold spell a couple of years ago.
My fescue is dying, clear down to the soil. It’s in 2- and 3-foot round patches, and it doesn’t look like there will be anything left to come back. It looked fine coming out of the winter a couple of months ago, but I don’t think there will be anything left by the time it gets really hot this summer.
