Question: What types of sprinklers are best?
Answer: All you want a sprinkler to do is to distribute water uniformly over a specified area. If it does it quickly, that’s better. If it’s not terribly expensive, that’s better. But the uniform distribution is critical. Rotary sprinklers are probably easier to use if you have lots of wind, simply because their water droplets are larger. However, they water in circles, so it’s harder to get a uniform coverage. If you’re dealing with a sprinkling system, be sure the heads are all correctly positioned, clean and functioning properly.
